Three
to Six month Volunteer or Intern Program
Participate and assist
at Vega for 3-6 Months: The Volunteer/Intern Program was designed to accomodate those who want to gain some work experience in order to fulfill their personal or professional objectives, or for those who want to contribute to help further the center's goals. For those who do not live locally we offer shared room accomodations. Join us for
a 3-6 months stay at Vega while you assist full-time as a
volunteer or intern in the areas of the front office, kitchen and/or
building and grounds maintenance. Volunteers can have a shared
room and meals at Vega. Preference is given to those who can
commit to a 6-month period.
The volunteer program
requires hard work and dedication to macrobiotic practice
while supporting the daily service to students and society
that is Vega’s mission. Volunteers or Interns first go through an initial
4 weeks of orientation and evaluation before being accepted
on a full-time basis.
Those who fulfill
a complete 6-month volunteer or Intern service period receive a confirmation of volunteer service letter
and can apply for continued participation. For
